Intraoral scanners upload large files and are often carried between operatories. A weak signal at one chair means slow uploads or a failed scan with the patient still in the chair.

Plan coverage, not counts

Two well-placed access points beat four in the wrong spots. Walls, cabinets and lead-lined imaging rooms all block signal, so put access points on the ceiling in corridors and open areas.

  • Separate staff, guest and device networks
  • Wire anything that doesn’t move
  • Check coverage at every chair after install
